Dr. Feifer manages all aspects of urologic malignancy including kidney cancer, transitional cell carcinoma of the upper tract, ureter, and bladder, as well as prostate cancer, and testicular cancer. Also, often other cancers involve genitourinary organs, such as gynecologic or bowel cancer.
It is very important when dealing with GU malignancies to understand the right sequence of therapy from surgery, to chemotherapy to radiation therapy, which all needs to be optimally delivered in order to maximize benefit. Quarterbacking all this care is a key component of Dr. Feifer’s comprehensive care.
Also, Dr. Feifer is an expert at minimally invasive surgery for genitourinary malignancies but also specializes in larger open surgeries such as radical cystectomy and retroperitoneal lymphadenectomy as well as in the reconstruction of the urinary tract such as the creation of a bladder substitute when removed due to malignancy.
